Dr. Gustavo Machado
Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Gustavo Machado is a Plastic, Reconstructive, Hand and Upper Extremity Surgeon and Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. He joins the practice from California where he completed an Integrated Residency in Plastic and reconstructive Surgery at Loma Linda University, Loma Linda and a Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery Fellowship at the University of California Irvine Medical Center. Throughout his years of training he was involved with research and academia and has published several scientific articles and given presentations at national and regional meetings. Dr. Machado is a native of Brazil and received his medical school training in Argentina. He is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish.
Carrie has been in the skin care industry for 15 plus years, with an emphasis on Aesthetics for 10 years. She was a leading educator for Esthetic students as a Licensed Esthetic Instructor for the State of Nebraska for 5 years. During that time, she published numerous articles in newspapers and local magazines in direct relation to skin health and Aesthetic treatments. Since then, her passion for Aesthetics has been focused with specialized training in Medical Aesthetics.
Her knowledge and hands on experience is enhanced by her ability to customize her treatments to her client’s specific needs. Carrie’s passion for knowledge ensures her to continuously be up to date on the cutting-edge in skin care regimens and techniques. Her approach is one that encompasses all of her technical knowledge with a relaxing and soothing touch. Her services are designed for a variety of people interested in enhancing their appearance by improving their skin health. As an Aesthetician working under an Aesthetic RN & Plastic Surgeon, she can provide medical grade Aesthetic treatments, while complementing any cosmetic services offered at Prairie Aesthetics. Her specialties include personalized medical grade facials for all skin types and conditions, pre and/or post procedure treatments, medical grade chemical peels and micro-dermabrasions, full body waxing, body treatments and product recommendations.
In her free time, Carrie likes to spend time with her husband and 2 children. Carrie has a passion for Yoga, with an emphasis on Kid’s Yoga. She graduated from Lincoln Yoga Center and is a Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance. She also volunteers any spare time at the Capital Humane Society where she enjoys her position as an Adoption Counselor, helping with office duties, fund raising and walking dogs.
